| Well Tim just tagged me so i will join in with this tagging ness
The 1st player of this "game" starts with the topic "5 Weird Habits of Yourself" and people who get tagged need to write a xanga entry about their 5 weird habits and must state this rule clearly. In the end, you need to choose the next 5 people to be tagged and list their names. Don't forget to leave a comment that says "You are tagged" in their xanga and tell them to read yours.
so, i don't really have any weird habits that people would really consider weird....
1. I have a tendancy to strip in my sleep (only because i get really hot with the covers on and what not).
2. If i don't wash my face in the morning i feel like crap the rest of the day and i do not feel clean at all
3. I like my pizza best if their is no toppings on it-- just the bread and the sauce
4. I like to jump on people instead of hugging them (although i consider them to be hugs : ) )
5. If i do not like the food that is in my mouth, i will just spit it out but not in a very nice or attractive way... just like a guy spits out spit, i spit out food....
ok so there's 5 people who get the great opportunity to do this are as follows: Mootface, Halz, ashley, cheese and Kara from Kansas (got to keep it in Urban Promise yo)!! | | |
| One thing i have come to the realization of: I love work all too much! I don't think work should be allowed to be this fun. Amy, Bertha and Suzanne keep the scene up to it's hilarity standard (it's required in the handbook... all though you guys have yet to read it since you don't work here.. it's standard like 14.6 which is in the "put your work down and laugh" part of the handbook that states "one must laugh frequently in order to release endorphines into the body to make one a happier worker and this must happen multiple times an hour"). Anyway 4th of July rocked, a little BBQ and i had the chance to revert back to my days in Kenya with a game of scum (which is my new favorite card game). And i was never scum (which is unusual considering i was most of the time in Kenya it seemed). I had the great opportunity to spend some quality time with members of my Kenya family (Adam, Christina, John, Meghan and of course my lovely roomie Suzie-but of course not all at the same time) over the course of the last few weeks. But ya know, that's life, one day your scum, the next day you're king so it all works! Hmmm... must go back to work in my great bungalo. | | |
| So much has happened in the last few months. I had the best experience of my life in May when i traveled to Kenya and now i am living with one of my teammates (Suzie). I love living with her, it's so nice. God taught me so much while i was in Kenya. Although it was so extremely hard to see all of the poverty there (you always here about it but it's a complete different story when you actually see it and experience it for yourself), I would not change what i did or saw for anything. Our team bonded so much and i will forever remember my team as well as the people of Kenya. Danielle (the team leader) wrote more stuff and has pics up on her site (www.xanga.com/DanAeRi). More to come.... | | |
| So this weekend was so good! Yesterday i had CCLC. I didn't think that it was going to be fun at all but it definately was. I got to hang out with my staff and just hear a good speaker. What the speaker said was so true and was good, it got me thinking about many things. Later on i met Amy and Casey's future roommates, i'm excited for them! We saw some baby kittens as well, they were so cute and i got the chance to hold one of them (even though it was hissing the whole time). I was banished to my room until i finished 5 pages of my paper but that didn't happen! Melissa, Amy and Casey were watching a movie and i went out and watched it towards the end. Hmmm.... after that I don't really remember what happened. Today was a glorious day, i actually got like 9 hours of sleep (which i have not been able to do in a while). Dave's parents are out here in California so we went next door and hung out there and Ruth (Dave's mom) made Chili that was so good. There was a lot of people who went to Dave's place but then some left before the actual fun started! We played a little football and we had a badminton tournament. Here were the teams: Cheesy Oreos (Amy and Dave), Handy Gardners (Andy and Holly), Mobabbitt (Casey and Mark) and last but not least there was Cured of Aids (which was of course Josh and I). Cheesy Oreos took home the gold medal (but only by 2 points), Silver went to Cured of Aids and then Mobabbitt and Handy Gardner's were tied for the bronze medal. It was so much fun! Then Holly and I went for a quick little run (i died and we had to stop before we even reached one mile). So it is official, i am going home this summer! I am so excited about it, i get to hang out with my family and my old friends for 2 months! And i get to work with my brother at Round Table which will be fun! God is amazing and knew that going home would be best for me this summer! Now i am off to study with Holly and Gabriel! | | |
| Quick little update since i haven't done so in a while. Next year i will be an RA in Engstrom, which is going to rock (souled out, haha roomies). I am so excited about it and walk about. One of the girls that i am going to Africa with is in Engstrom with me along with one of my good friends Emily which makes things that much better! God is so awesome. Moot is back in our mod, making K-6 fully complete, things were different without her, glad to have our roommate back! After a little complications with my check for my Africa plane ticket (i accidently mailed it to the wrong state but thankfully God allowed me to do it in another way). So now it's officially official, i am going to Afica from May 9 to June 3. I can't wait to go to Africa, my team is so awesome and we are learning some words in Kiswahili (like i want food and toilet), it's so fun. Sunday night Amy and i made a video because we did not want to do our homework, it's so hilarious and the night before me, mark, andy, kevin, holly and amy made a video too. That one was completely random but it was fun to make, it's not done yet. Also, Gabriel and I are now officially together, as of like the 1st of this month. Well that is all for now, i think it's time that i continue my work here at the grad center. | | |
